the
tukushi experience
Explore the Caribbean Rainforest with all your senses.
The Tukushi Project is an initiative and an idea for people to have a full sensory rainforest experience —and, through this connection, understand how vital rainforests are for the future of our planet and all life on earth.
The Project begins on a privately owned 140-acre heritage rainforest cocoa estate in Trinidad’s northern range, near El Tucuche mountain. The initiative encompasses regenerative forest farming, tree to bar chocolate, and an eco-lodge. The goal is for visitors to experience the rainforest with all their senses.
This is a call for partnerships, co-creators and investors.
The name Tukushi derives from the Arawak (Lokono) language meaning hummingbird.
A place to be.
The sounds of the forest,
the scent of the trees,
the sunlight playing through the leaves,
the fresh, clean air —
these things give us a sense of comfort.
They ease our stress and worry, help us to relax and to think more clearly.

the idea
The Tukushi Project opens the stage at the interconnection of regenerative cocoa and forest farming, rainforest experience and guided hikes, beekeeping, chocolate making and back to the roots of natural foods. The eco-lodge acts as the central hub of these connected areas.
Our business model is a network of dynamic interaction of experts creating and exchanging sustainable value. For the customer, the environment and for ourselves.
Our aim is to benefit all stakeholders; our employees, suppliers, customers, business partners, the local community and most of all nature.

The earth’s rainforests are declining faster than we can save them.
We want to not only preserve this rare and beautiful natural space but also share our rainforest experience with the world.
